Ingredients for s'mores
The basic s'more ingredients include: top cookie, marshmallow, chocolate, bottom cookie. But you can also get inventive and replace the marshmallow s'more with marshmallow cream, cheesecake, or even a banana. You can also mix and match toppings such as chocolate chips, sprinkles, cookie crumbles, candy ... you name it! Another great thing to add, as seen above, is a dessert sauce.
In our infographic we used lemon curd, caramel, and hazelnut. But really, there are no rules when it comes to making your perfect s'more.
How to make campfire s'mores
- Place your chocolate of choice on top of a graham cookie. If you are using sauce or a spread make sure you do that before placing the chocolate.
- Melt the marshmallow. Remember to keep an eye on it so that it doesn't burn.
- Place the marshmallow on top of the chocolate.
- Cover everything with a top graham cookie.
Remember to melt the marshmallow enough so that when placed inside the cookies and on top of the chocolate, it creates a yummy gooey texture. There are also various ways to do so without a campfire: a microwave, an oven and even on a grill.
How to bake s'mores
If baking, you would arrange and piece the s'mores together and place them in the oven. The average time is around 3-5 minutes. If overcooked, the marshmallow might end up a melted mess.
How to mail s'mores
